3 Principles of Water Intake
Know three simple rules of drinking water to make the most of this magical gift of God.
Morning Call of Water
The consumption of a glass of warm water in the morning can make you experience magical outcomes.
Reason
Its first outcome is aroused gastro-colic effects. Second, it helps to remove intestinal waste.
Note: It's unimaginably beneficial if one takes lemon water instead of the plain.
Water Intake: Before and After Meal
Consume water 15-20 minutes before and about two hours after a meal.
Reasons
- If we intake water during the meal, it dilutes the digestive juice, slowing down the churning process of food in the stomach. This practice results in hampering digestion.
- An abundant supply of water during meal leads to the distended stomach, which disturbs its tone.
Note: In case of no control over thirst, sip water little by little.
Eating Habits and Thirst
Consume a healthy and balanced diet; avoid salty, frosty or peppery food and overeating.
Reasons
- Salty, frosty or peppery foods arouse false sensations of dehydration, making one thirsty.
- In the case of overeating, the blood supply to the stomach increases, compromising other parts. It gives a sense of strong thirst, which is a false call of water in reality.
